Problem with the MS 5973

I work at a GC/MSD (6890/5973).
This system don’t has an UPS, and after some interruptions of electrical supply that began to fail.
These are the error messages in the Logbook:

1101, "[{REP} acq: strt sim]: Unrecoverable mass spec fault: 512"
Difficulty with the electromultiplier supply at runtime 7.44

Or else

1101, "[{MOV} ]: Unrecoverable mass spec fault: 512"
Difficulty with the electromultiplier supply at runtime 16.25

The Autotune is OK, the filament is new, the vacuum is good.

Can anybody help me?

What is your EM voltage and did you clean the source when you replaced the filament?

The EM voltage is 1600 and I cleaned the ion source when I replaced the filament

Your MSD probably has an intermittent electronic problem of the EM power supply.

Is your instrument working OK despite the error messages ?, did these messages or similar ones appear only once (during the power failure) or have they occurred several times ?

If the messages do not recur, and the machine is working, then they are simply a record of what happened and you do not have to worry about them.

The problem was a failure in the method, since two power failures ocurred durin a run, and the method was corrupted.

we also have a problem with our MS5973N system.

First we got the error "No emission current ‚8". Therefore, we changed both filaments.

Now we get a new error notification "Mass spectrometer fault at runtime...". When we start a tune we get the error "MS status fault 2".

We did not clean the ion source after filament replacement. May this be the reason?

What should we do now?

Does the MS run at all? If you go to manual tune and scan do you get a signal? If not then there is something wrong in the MS and you aren't likely to fix it without help. If there is a signal but the tune routine doesn't work, load the last good tune file and start from there.
Yes, the MS itself works. It tried to restore an old tune file. I tried to run the samples again, but nothing changed.

Can you tell me, how exactly I restore an old tune file? Maybe I did somthing wrong...
You can go into the menu and choose the Use Previous Tune option to select an older tune file.

I was going to suggest using the Reset to Default option, but looking at the menus on E.02 MSD Chemstation that option isn't there anymore.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
In your instrument C: directory there is a folder named EI tunes. It will have all the old tune files that have been saved. Copy one of those into the folder where the current tune files is and rename it. Load that file and try the tune again. Are you using atune or something else? Check to see if the tune file itself is corrupt or whether something in the MS is not functioning during the tune macro. If the tune routine doesn't run at all it may be time for someone else to look at the MS.
