Dear all
iam not able to get rid of DMF carry over from Headspace (model : Agilent 7694), please suggest some temedy for this

Usually time and flow will cure carryover.

Is your hardware clean?

Can you give specifics?

best wishes,

Rod

Hi

Would like to add that you could check the sample valve temperature in the headspace. As DMF has a boiling point of ~153°C it could contribute. Especially if you have run samples before with DMF as the sample solvent, seen alot of problems related too low sample valv temperatures when high boilers DMF, DMSO, DMAA is used as sample solvent.

As the previous speaker said, hard to say without details.

Cheers Chris

Have you tried the steam cleaning procedure detailed in the manual? This usually clears most crap out of the system.
