Large Peaks

Some people say that the most retained the peak more large it is.

I say that I believe that it is more large due to the low efficience of %B in my partition process. but they state that is because of Diffusion, only this.

who is right?

Diffusion essentially controls how much your sample band or zone broadens as a function of migration distance. To a first approximation, every compound in your sample has the same zone width when it reaches the end of the column. The observed width of a peak depends on the width of the zone when it reaches the end of the column, and also on the distribution coefficient (more strongly-retained peaks are eluted from the column in a larger volume of mobile phase).
