Hello
please if any one have experience and can help me
Im trying to analysis psudephedrine drug in the LC-MS/MS , tuning gives me agood result but the proplem of carryover occur with this drug
always when i inject blank, mobilephase, methanol ihave peak of psudoephhedrine
is this problem related to this drug
please any help :?:

hi

we have done psudephedrine in API 3000 and we never faced such problem. it might from your autosampler or source contamination. just flush your LC and Source of your MS and then check it out.

Hi alpesh
Are you use aspecial type of column to analyse psudephedrine(basic compound)
and what about mobile phase , dose i need cleaning step to remove the carryover?

hi

u can use any C18 end capped column or may be C8 or cyno column will work. for mobile phase you can use methanol or acetonitrile with some volatile buffer like ammonium acetate with proper pH adjustment. for carryover you can increase rinse cycle or can acidify your needle wash solution.

In the analysis of low molecular weight compounds, I have never seen a valid example for carryover caused by a column, any column!!!
