What is the difference between EPA 524.2 and 8260?

bdh,

Back when I routinely did this sort of thing....

Among others, 25 mL sample volume instead of typically 5 mL sample volume and use of a frit sparger instead of a needle sparger. Which means lots and lots of water on your trap. Use of a single internal standard instead of three, three point calibration instead of five, much lower detection limits (more about the 25 mL than at the instrument), and others.

Biggest issue I came across was the impact of so much water on the trap and analytical system, even with split injection.

Have you been able to get your hands on the method?

Best regards.

I am currently utilizing Method 8260....I just recently have had a few people inquire about EPA 524, so I thought I'd look into it. I can't seem to find a copy of EPA 524 though.
