Colleagues-
My company has a number of old Thermo Mass Spec Detectors configured w/ Thermo or Agilent LC's on the front end. These instruments are heavily used in the "Open Access (OA)" (walk up) department. We currently use an "OA" program that allows the users to run samples and then it executes code to send results to an Electronic Notebook.

The problem(s): The instruments are old and we would like to begin purchasing new instruments, however we would also like to purchase new "OA" software.

Can anyone provide feedback on their experiences using the various "canned software" used in running OA instruments?

Thanks for your time.

hi,
we are using EazyAccess (Agilent) and OpenLink (Waters), so I can only talk about those 2. EazyAccess is by far the best, it gives you freedom to do almost anything. OpenLink is too restrictive, sometimes I think I'm having a nightmare (unfortunately, I'm not :)
