I am trying to work out how sensitive my GC-TOF instrument is.
We have Agilent GC-MSD's with a quadrupole analyser, the standard we set with those is for 1pg/ul of Octofluronaphthalene to give an average Signal to Noise Ratio of around 80:1, using a DB-5 type column in the GC.
Should I expect the same for a TOF analyser or is there a different level of signal to Noise I should expect?
