Dear all

If given organometal sample in a form of a paste to analyse with LC-MS, what steps need to be taken on the sample prior to LC-MS analysis? Please help urgently.

Mmoneng

More details would help. Do you know what kind of compound it is (organic part and/or metal part)? What kind of mass spec do you have? For a start, you can try dissolving it in methanol and running it with a generic LC gradient if you have no idea what it is.

No, I don't have any idea with this sample but thank you very much, I will try dissolving in methanol and run it.
