precolumn to use for separation of H4SI(monosilane) from air

Dear all
I want to measure H2-O2-N2-CH4-CO-CO2 in pure H4SI(monosilane) and I would like to know which column(or configuration) is the best to use as pre column for the separation of the air from H4SI.
The second column can be a Molecular sieve 5A for H2-O2-N2-CH4-CO and a porapak for CO2. A ShinCarbon can also be used for all permanent gases and CO2.
My biggest concern is for the separation of H4SI from the air.
thanks

A Carboxen 1000 should separate the silane from air.

best wishes,

Dear Tiger,

Based on bp, silane should elute betwen methane and ethane.

If you used a long high loading methyl silicone column or a moderate length Carbopack B column you should be able to separate silane from air and CO readily.

best wishes,

Rod
