sensitivity, reproducibly and separability

I am writing seminar on GC-MS and GC-ECD for school project. And I would like to know, what influences on sensitivity, reproducibly and separability (eg. pressure, column length, bad septa, liner...). I can't find these information on the internet. Thank you for your answers.
