Hi

I would like to know the what are the diffrent types of fat constituents that can be identified using TLC.for eg, Triacylglycerol,.

Thanks,

Virtually every lipid class or compound that can be analysed by HPLC can also be analysed by TLC.

The great advantage of TLC is that all of the sample can be observed or recovered, whereas with GC and HPLC you usually only see what elutes from the column.

The Lipid Analysis guru is W.W.Christie, and a visit to his website will provide you with plenty of information, including examples of the separations available. You can start at...

One of the classic articles, old but good, is:-
