Hi,
I would like to know which column to use to separate isopropylic alcohol (API) from O2, CO, CO2, H2, N2 in background Helium using Helium carrier gas.

Thank you for your help

almost any column packed or capillary will work.

Porous polymer

Carbowax

any boiling point phase column

I would prefer a Supelcowax capillary.

best wishes,

Rod

If you are using a flame ionisation detector you do not need a column at all becuase it will not respond to any of the gases.
