dear all

i need specific packed column for analysis dichloromethane (methylene chloride)

thank you
ravi
any porous polymer packed column

any methyl silicone column with a heavy loading

any carbopack packed column especially if Carbowax coated

Often DCM has inhibitors, check the label of the bottle.

chloromethane and chloroform are obvious possible contaminants but look for other common solvents, especially acetone and 1-pentene.

Perform analysis at a low temperature but ramp to higher temperature for 'dissolved' contaminants.

best wishes,

Rod
