FID response between 5890 and 6890

Does exist a reported equivalence between 5890 FID counts and 6890 FID pA?

If you have both instruments, i would advise that you make standards and see if you can come up with your own empirical relationship. I am unaware of a published relationship. The best practice is to calibrate your new instrument independently - not relative to the old.

Your signal-to-noise should be similar, that's what's important.

Signal counts at baseline will be different depending on gas flows, column bleed, and many other variables.
Also sensitivity will be different with the same variables taken into account.
As for whether the readout on the 5890 was in pAmps, not sure on that one. I don't know if it was a direct current read or if it was converted to different units.
