Hello everyone,

I'm new to GC so there are so much things that I don't know about.

Question: Why do we need the CCV, LCS/LCSD/, MS/MSD, and surrogate? and why my CCV keep failing most of the time even though i do everything exactly the same, please give me come common circumstances?

This question is kind of vague, but hopefully someone can answer my question.

Thanks.

Not everyone uses the same abbreviations (with exception of GC...). You might get a bet response to your question if you spell out your acronyms.

I assume the acronyms are as follows:

CCV = continuing calibration verification
LCS = low concentration standard ( or spike)
LCSD = LCS duplicate
MS = matrix spike
MSD = MS duplicate

Yes your question is kind of vague, and in fact very broad.
It seems that it is more about methodology rather than chromatography alone.
I suggest you do some research to learn about quality control / quality assurance and why it is so important. There is just too much information to post in one reply.
As for the failing CCV issue, we could use a little more information in order to determine your problem.
