Atlantis T3 Column from Waters

My group is considering to use Atantis T3 column as a main column for bunch of application. I would like to compare this new column to other AQ columns. I found one application on the web but unfortunately no information on column length and flow rate is provide:

I would be glad if somebody (Waters people??) can provide additional information (flow rate and column dimensions at least).

I already have several columns to try (Polaris, Acclaim, Zorbax and Primesep). I am looking to add Atlantis T3. Usually we are using 150x4.6 mm columns for our projects.

P.S. Uwe I got you files, thanks a lot. I will try to use information.

Let me know (my email is below) what Primesep column do you have. Method development on Primesep columns is slightly different than on regular RP columns because you have two interactions to control (reverse phase and ion-exchange). Use the following guides for method development:

Here is similar Atlantis T3 method (with 10% ACN). If you reduce ACN to 0% you will have even longer retention:

P.S. Dear Uwe would you please specify column length and flow rate for the application on Waters site (Nalizer reference). It is hard to make conclusion without knowing these two parameters, because if this is 250 mm column with flow rate below 1 ml/min it is no better than regular AQ column....Thanks

Gee, Vlad, you mean to imply that if we demonstrate double the retention on our column compared to competitors' columns that we used double the column length? Such an idea had never entered my mind, nor anybody else's mind here at Waters...

All our chromatograms have dimensions and flow rates, so that is why our customers don't need to guess. It is strange to see chromatograms without these parameters. I saw a lot of chromatograms from several manufacturers (don't want to name anybody) when they show" good" retention but when you look closer the flow rate was 0.75 or 0.5 ml/min on 4.6 mm column or 0.1 ml/min on 2.1 mm column, so I think that this is a legit question which still remains unanswered:

Bryan’s and my refernces have flow rate/column dimensions and you can do relative comparison, in case of Atlantis T3 slide it can be any number from 0 to 100...LOL.

Would you please specify:

What is flow rate and column dimension in this application???

Someone knows the tricks of tricksing. What did the old book say? Remove the beam out of your eye before complaning about the splinter in someone elses?

Do you mind sharing column dimensions for Atlantis T3 in the applications you got from Uwe? For some, reason he does not want to share this information. I tried to magnify base line to see a blip, sometimes associated with the void volume, but the base line is flat as it can be, which is hard to imagine considering potential mobile phase.
Relative comparison with Unison column shows that Atlantis has either the same or less retention for almost every compound, but again it is hard to do this comparison.
I am trying to see if we have same compounds to do relative comparison of Primesep to Unison and Atlantis.
What kind of compounds you are analyzing? Basic and acidic drugs? Organic and inorganic acids in drug compositions?

I don't mind keeping this reference alive, may be at some point you decide to share at least column length for this application, I just trying to understand what are you achieving withholding this information?
I already know that in application you have on your website it retain compounds less than Unison column: adenine retains almost twice less, thymine and guanine 20% less……..but may be this is shorter column…but we don’t know this.
