I am trying to find a commercial or academic lab that can do fee for service detection of benzalkonium chloride at cosmetic levels in a topical dental varnish. Anyone have a lead? Thanks
Are you looking for a specific BAC or just the routine BAC10,12,14,16?

Thanks for your reply. Just routine BAC. Thanks
When I was working (private industry), we assayed for benzalkonium chloride only rarely. At first, we also separated the homologs using HPLC/UV detection, later figured out a way to obtain a single peak for easier quantitation (assuming one had an appropriate standard of similar homolog make-up).

It sounds like the levels in this product might be high enough for titration as a cationic surfactant, depending on the sample matrix.
Thanks
