Hello,

We are in the process of purchasing a new HPLC system and we are unsure whether it is worth paying extra for a bio-inert system.

We plan on analysing amino acids and nucleotides which we synthesise in the lab. We expect our sample solutions will contain significant amounts of phosphate, calcium, and magnesium.

Obviously we will need to perform sample clean up prior injection anyway but the question is; would it be worth spending extra on a bio-inert system to potentially extend the life of the system and reduce down time, or would proper clean-up procedures and regular system care and maintenance be sufficient?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks
