I have a Gerstel MPS-2 and tried installing the 2.5mL headspace syringe and heater. Maestro refused to accept it because it says the syringe has a heater but the temperature sensor doesn't work. I tried cleaning the contact points on the heater and injector head but that didn't help either. Also there is a silver bracket that I assume is to help secure the module in the injector head. Is that essential?
Hi,

Can you send a picture of the bracket? Is a wire attached to it?

Cheers
I don't think the bracket is important. I've seen pictures and videos with and without it and it isn't shown or mentioned in the user manual.

I am sending the heater to Gerstel but it may be a problem with the injector head. They said I'd have to replace the entire heater unit which runs $1500. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the temp sensor or resolder a faulty connection on it?
