iron(III) EDTA complex

Has anyone analysed iron(III) EDTA complex on HPLC? Any recommendation on the column? Zorbax?

We test for EDTA by complexing it with copper (we put a small amount of CuSO4 in the dilutent and mobile phase). You can probably analyse Iron by putting some EDTA in the diluent/mobile phase
Something like this:
Column: Hamilton PRP-X100 ,10µ (250mm x 4.1mm)
Detector: 254nm UV
Inj Vol: 50µL
Flow: 1.0mL/min
Mobile Phase: 1M Sulfuric Acid 2.0mL
Phosphoric Acid, conc 2.0mL
Purified Water, USP 900mL
Methanol 100mL
0.1M Cupric Sulfate Solution 5.0mL
(Mix well and filter through a 0.45 micron membrane filter)
Retention Time of Edetate Disodium ~7.3 minutes
Total Run Time: 15 minutes

Our HPLC method for measuring high concentration EDTA (5-1000 ug/mL EDTA) in solutions uses complexation with Iron. We add excess Iron to study samples, heat at 70oC for 30 mins, and then use HPLC to isolate Iron-EDTA. Conditions are:
Eluant: 20 ml/L TBAH adjusted to pH 3.5 with formic acid
Column: AquaSEP C18 100x3mm 5u
Sample: 30ul
Detection: UV @ 256nm
Retention time Fe-EDTA: ~2.5 mins
Run time: 6 mins
Eluant: 20 ml/L TBAH adjusted to pH 3.5 with formic acid

Sample: 30ul
Detection: UV @ 256nm

We have an application note for iron EDTA (appnote #291):
Column: PRP-X100, 4.1x150mm (#79434)
Mobile Phase: 20mmol/L nitric acid
Flow Rate: 2mL/min
Inj.vol.: 10µL
UV at 254nm
Iron EDTA around 5min.

Actually these are the exact specifications from the porous graphitic carbon from Thermo (i.e. Hypercarb).

There are other similar columns out there like the one form ZirCrhom but the specifications are different...
