I am a Lab Director that is taking on Toxicology and we need an LC-MS for Clinical toxicology verification of drugs of abuse. I have talked to four different manufacturers and have narrowed it down a Sciex 4500 Triple Quad or a Shimadzu 8050. I have been given more information than I know what to do with. I am looking for an instrument that will be reliable and relatively easy to operate in a clinical setting. Are the instrument comparable? Can anyone give me any info as to how well they do in a day-in/day-out clinical setting/ Any information you could provide would be very helpful.
