I have two HP 5988A MS instruments in my lab that are available free of charge to anyone who may use them and is willing to pay for shipping or to pick them up. I would hate to trash these if someone has a need for it, but we do not have space to store them. One is a (mostly) complete instrument in the cabinet (the GC transfer line has a cracked bellows which needs repair/replacement), and the other has been disassembled from the cabinet and is available for parts. There are two HP RTE data systems (processors, scanning interfaces, terminals, etc.) as well. We never had the units completely running in our lab, although we had the complete unit to the point of begining tuning/calibration when we stopped due to acquiring a newer system. They were donated from an analytical facility which closed, and they were both running when decomissioned there, sometime prior to 2000.
