I am looking for a packed column that would separate ethylene & propylene glycols using a TC detector. Does anyone have any experience
with this analysis? Thanks :?:
a 3% Carbowax 20M on Porapak P 80/100 in a 2 or 4 mm ID glass or a fused silica coated SS 1/8inch column, 4 to 8 feet in length should suffice.

alternately, I have used a 3% Carbowax 20M on Supelcoport in a glass or fused silica lined SS 1/8inch column.

I would contact Supelco Technical Service for further advice.

I'd try Tenax-TA packed column.
I agree with CPG in that column would be a good column to try. Remember to keep your injector temperature above ~150°C and if your sample is in water not too inject more than a microliter unless a slow injection procedure is used.

best wishes,

Rod

Thanks for the advice................
