Residual solvents anticancer drug

Hi everybody,
we are going to analyze the residual solvents contents into an anticancer drugs. We have done some residual solvent determination with a headspace autosampler and GCMS in other API but we have never work with anticancer drugs..We could not do a liquid injection because the drugs is encapsulated in a polymer and I think we will get a lot of background..
My question is about the toxicity of this kind of compounds: how are usually determined the residual solvent in this kind of drugs?
The instrument should be in a fume hood?

Anyone have some experience with this compound?

First you have to find a solvent that dissolves the capsulation material in which the drug is enclosed.

Headspace or SPME would then be the best two procedures to follow.

Review the manufacturers MSDS information concerning handling and disposal of these drugs.
