Anyone have any info on the retention time of methane and/or ethane compared to methylene chloride? Thanks.

Column details etc ?
Methane is unretained on most columns, and on most columns I think ethane will elute before methylene chloride but if you post you column details an expert can look it up :)

HP Plot-Q

Isothermal oven 150 C

Detector/Injector 250 C

Thanks

RT

There may be a difference of 2-5 times in retention times.
