How to get rid of sulfuric acid?

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Hi
I am a frequent user of the Aminex HPX87H column, which uses sulfuric acid as mobile phase modifier.
After a recent run, involving a polysaccharide digestion product, we found among the several monosaccharides found, an unknown peak, potentially sugar, we want to characterize by NMR.
My intention is to isolate the peak in the chromatogram, in order to analyze it. But I have understood that H2SO4 is not compatible with NMR, and a very "sticky" substance, which makes difficult to get rid of.
Besides looking for another separation method to obtain the peak, can anyone give me any suggestion about how to clean my sample to have it analyzed?
Thanks in advance
Maybe you could precipitate it as a Barium or some other insoluble salt?
