Dry Prime without flow

Hi!

I´m using a Waters Alliance e2695. I have tried to perform a Dry Prime but no mobile phase is coming out. It seems that mobile phase is not being pulles from the reservoir.

I've already tried to repeat the procedure but the two lines remain without flow.

Someone had the same problem?
Hello

You need to pull liquid manually with syringe (through the valve).

Hi, Tomasz!

I'm using the syringe to pull the liquid, even though the mobile phase is not coming out.

I've already checked the reservoir filters and they're not blocked. Seems to be another problem.
Make sure you're pumping a wet line (actually, they should all be wet).
Open the valve lots, make sure you've got a good seal w/ the syringe and...
If at first you don't succeed, keep sucking.
You'll eventually get it going.
Thanks,
DR

Also, make sure that the "sinker frit" in the reservoir is not clogged and that you don't have any kinks in the inlet line(s).

Seems like inlet checkvalves stuck.
Ultrasonicate the checkvalves in methanol and try again.

I am not familiar with the Waters pump, but if the inlet and outlet check valves can be swapped, make sure they are not reversed. I had a pump on and IC before where they were installed reversed and definitely nothing will flow lol.
The past is there to guide us into the future, not to dwell in.
Arrows should always point up for Alliance system check valves.
Thanks,
DR
