What exactly do you mean ,are you using RP-C18 for your chromatographic analysis or you manufacture your own C-18 column?

Hi there,

If you want to pack your own HPLC columns ( stainless steel columns) you need special equipment which is probably not available in your lab I'm afraid.

You need a constant pressure pump ( up to 1000 bar) and filing vessel capapble of handling the high pressure.
If you want to pack minibore columns ( ID less 2mm) you could use a constant flow pump, any HPLC pump will do and try to fill these columns.

However it is a particular job and a lot of experience and proper proceuders have to be followed.

This knowledge is protected by column manufacturers.

Philippe
