My lab has been suffering from a few power cuts lately, which has had adverse (costly) effects on both our Agilent LC-MS Quad and Trap instruments. Therefore I need to source a UPS system for these two bits of kit. Any recommendations?

Ah the joys of working in the countryside

Google is your first port of call. Agilent should also be able to make a recommendation as should any of the MS suppliers. If your comany is large enough ie you use enough power you may find somewhere on site is a small substation. On this is an emergency phone number to the power supplier. Calling this number when you have a power outage and telling them how much money they are costing your company has dramatic effects in my experience. Be warned they will probably be really miffed at first as this number is not available other than on the sides of these units.

Good luck
