Hi Group,
I want information about Sandell's sensitivity?
How to calculate it?
It's significance..
It is now a days needed to calculate it?

How to calculate it?
  • As called for in your spectrophotometry textbook  . I'm not a spectroscopist but since all the references to it have units of mass/cm^2 (or moles/cm^2), so I would surmise that it is the analyte concentration times the flow call path length divided by the absorbance.
It's significance..
  • For chromatography, nothing.

It is now a days needed to calculate it?
  • In chromatography, it never has been necessary.
