Bruker 450-GC - Rear EFC Flow Alarm

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Looking for some help with a Bruker 450-GC.

I keep getting the fault "Rear EFC - Pressure ready time out" the flow is fluctuating and the GC remains in Not Ready mode - I can clear the fault by de-selecting and re-selecting the Enable box in the Rear EFC tab.

Is this a genuine flow/pressure fault or is it a gremlin in the software?

The flow also takes a bit of a wobble about 1.5 mins into a run, this clears and appears not to upset the results.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Caleb
Welcome to the forum.

First step is a leak check, with a leak seeker. Also, measure the actual flows from the split and septum purge, and make sure that the septum purge flow and column dimensions are set correctly.
