I have change logs enabled on my LabSolutions, which I appreciate very much and don't want to disable... but it always gives me grief if I try and use a template for making up a batch run (i.e. have to put in a reason for typing in all my sample information, since filling in a blank counts as a change). Is this just something I am just going to have to live with if I want to have both change control and use batch templates, or is there some esoteric setting that I missed while setting this thing up? We don't have an instruction manual for LabSolutions, so I'm having to basically piece together stuff with whatever I can glean from the F1 menus.
I suppose there's technically nothing wrong with having a change log for each analytical run; I just feel like I totally ruined something somewhere if I have to fill it out, which I know is silly.

(I would very much like to continue using the template if I can, because I've had several runs lately where I have messed up the vial numbers near the end and missed some standard repeats--using a template means that I can solve this problem, and is my documented corrective action for this issue.)
