By swapping the column around you can use either inlet with either detector - they are not dedicated to the detectors that they happen to be connected to as present.HP 5890 with FID/FPD. The FID inlet is pretty obvious there in front; don't know what the rear one is about. Never used the FPD, and I have no idea how to put a sample on column with an inlet that doesn't even have a septum. Is this a packed column inlet? What am I missing?
