Inlet identification, please?

HP 5890 with FID/FPD. The FID inlet is pretty obvious there in front; don't know what the rear one is about. Never used the FPD, and I have no idea how to put a sample on column with an inlet that doesn't even have a septum. Is this a packed column inlet? What am I missing?

Not a definitive answer but most likely. You have a GC with FID and FPD
Well most of the FPD is missing you just have the mounting for it. An FPD has a flame like an FID but a huge great PMT tube to see the Sulfur line / Phosphorus line as it is a selective detector. This is definitely missing.
What you have is a Cool On Column inlet.

By swapping the column around you can use either inlet with either detector - they are not dedicated to the detectors that they happen to be connected to as present.
