I work in a lab trying to start up TO-15/14a EPA method testing. Our lab has a policy of "Whichever is more stringent" is the rule to go by, TO-14a requires all response factors under 30%, TO-15 requires the same but allows for two exceptions, so we follow the more stringent. We have one problem analyte, 1,2,4-Trichlorobenzene that likes to have a Response Factor over 30%, it has to be under 30%. We have tried the BFBAtune, Atune, and manual tuning. The source is clean. Any thoughts on what might help to get the Response factor down? We have 1,2-Dichlorobenzene, 1,3-Dichlorobenzene, and 1,4-Dichlorobenzene which are similar to 1,2,4-Trichlorobenzene. The 3 Dichlorobenzenes are under 8% RF. Any and all help is appreciated!
