I was thinking of buying the products at chrom&spec (http://www.chromandspec.com/Price.aspx); however, I was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative.

We have an hplc pump and will buy a detector and we think we need an ADC converter. Can you recommend a cheap one?
I am not familiar with this particular software so can you tell me more abou it and what are you trying to do? control the pumps and detector through the software or just get try to do data acquisition through the detector and capture the output?

if you want both pump and detector control than I have used datapex clarity but I dont know if it would be any cheaper than what you have listed.

if you just want to save data from the detector than a suggestion might be to use peaksimple which is definitely much cheaper than what you are looking at, or go to ebay and buy one of those chinese ebay ones which will be around $300.
I have a few Beckman pumps that I control from the front panel. I collect on the analog out of my
UV detector using a board from DATAQ ($60).
