Good Morning,(or afternoon)

first off let me list the equipment we are using: Clarus 400 w/ turbomatrix 16 tray and Totalchrom Navigator Ver6.3.2

Now for my problem,(and i may not explain this very well) our lab has a written procedure where we run our GC's vials 1-16 then once that 16th GC has completed we clear the sequence and start over at 1. Following this procedure we have never had any issues.

Now we have a couple employees who have decided they no longer want to follow that procedure they just want to keep re-entering data into vial 1 over and over and over.

I dont know exactly what is happening when they do this but we end up getting error messages and I have to replace both our method and sequence from a backup that was made in 2012 and re-calibrate to a currant standard.

Apparently explaining to these employees that this is our procedure, do it this way isn't good enough they want an explanation of exactly what is wrong with their way.

any help anyone can offer is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Tell them:

"but we end up getting error messages and I have to replace both our method and sequence from a backup that was made in 2012 and re-calibrate to a currant standard."

And write compliance with standard procedures into their job descriptions.
