Hi, is it possible that a specific c18 column 100x4.6 needs several hundrends of column volumes to be conditioned( no retention time drift) when m.phase has decanesulfonic acid for IP(5mM)? It took us 2 days with flow rate 2, to have stable RT. we tested 2 columns of the same brand.

just use 20 times more acid for initial saturation and you should be able to do this in an hour or so.
