Could anyone provide me with a short tutorial on how to open chromatogram signal data files from HP Peak96 software in OpenChrom?

Where I'm currently stuck:
In my current position I have inherited two HP 5890As and two HP 3396 Series II integrators. I set up an old XP machine to run Peak96 in DOSBox and have the integrators successfully connected and communicating with Peak96 like it would have been in 1989. I can access the export feature of Peak96 to make (*.D) files of runs for Chemstation, but I'm not sure where I'm going wrong because I can't get OpenChrom to recognize the existence or open the (*.D) files even after I've installed the Agilent FID converter plugin.

Thanks in advance!

Try ours
http://www.unichrom.com/chrom/uc-ffe.shtml

At least we can read *.ch *.uv *.d and *.ms

Data processing is free.

Btw i had a question from person who has
HPIB controller <->HPIB-HPIL converter <->HP-5890 with 19242-HPIL.

As far i know this construct is managed by Peak96.
I'd like to reverse this thing to make possible UniChrom control of HPIL-only instruments.
Hi Andrew,

feel free to contact us via our website http://www.openchrom.net. If you send us some test files we can check where the import goes wrong.

Best regards
Andreas
