Hi,
I work with a GC 7890A - 5675C MS detector (G1701EA ChemStation).
I would like to create a Time Event or a personal Integration Parameter file (I don't know which is the correct wording) in order to obtain automatically the integration of all the peak's areas between two defined retention times.
I would also like to be able to attribute a name to the sum of those peaks (for example Aliphatic hydrocarbons) so that the integration results appear in the report.

Thank you all for the suggestions and sorry for my bad english.

Nina
There is a way, but you have to build a data analysis method to do it. In the Agilent world there should be examples of a total hydrocarbon method. It's been a while for me, but as I remember you set the time range in the DA method to span the range for the hydrocarbons. You have to adjust the time ranges so that any internal standards are not in the hydrocarbon range ( this may apply to surrogates as well, can't remember).
Thank you.

I'm not skilled in the use of Data Analysis because I can't find an advanced user manual.
How can I specifically create a DA method? Could you also suggest me an useful manual?

Thanks again.

Isn't it under "F1" key ? :)
