Chemstation method time controls

Hello,

In short I am running a method that is supposed to be 80min long and it is prematurely stopping at 20 min. I double checked the method timetable and sequence table for errors along with instrument component controls to verify the stop time was at 80 min (same as pump).

Normally this machine is used for a 20 minute method so I don't think it is a coincidence that it is stopping at 20 min. I am thinking there is a setting somewhere that is telling it to stop at 20 min, however it has eluded me.

Is there somewhere else where you can control the method run time that I am missing?

First: what version of Chemstation? I had expertise on A revisions, now I'm dummmmmb on C revision. But most of the concepts are similar.

Each module "window" has a stop/run time command, most use the run time in the Pump window. Is it really stopping the run after 20 minutes, or just stopping the collection of data, like rejecting Areas after 20 minutes.

Basically, you need to do the Edit Entire Method under Method and examine each window and option for a command that says stop time, run time, or 20.00.

I have Chemstation version B.03.02[341]

A rather obscure solution but Problem fixed!

There is a fraction collector physically hooked up to the system and kept powered on. However it was not configured into the active system in Chemstation. (Instrument->Configure 1100/1200 access...). I think because it wasn't configured into the system, the stop time could not update but for some reason it was still being used as a check for the stop time even though it wasn't an "active" component.

Good to know, I guess..

Anyway, thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
