Really ? That flat piece of tubing goes from proportioning valve to pump and it is not subjected to any heat resulting from solvent pumping.Hello
You have pump that can run up to 1200bar so a lot of heat is generated during solvent pumping.
This S-shape flat metal "thing" is heat exchanger.
