Hey everybody,

I am a absolute beginner as for HPLC but would like to detect the polymer HPMCP HP55. Recently I read an article which describes the simultaneous detection of API and polymer of the samples in one measurement. I want to follow this strategy but with another system. The API is easily detectable but I have issues to measure a signal for the polymer.

Does anyone know or even has experience with detecting HPMCP HP55 or HPMCP in general?

I'm excited receiving answers from you guys.

Kind regards,
Alex
To separate an API (MW ~200-500) from your hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (??) polymer (MW ~5-10 K) requires an SEC column I assume.

Since HPMCP has no appreciable chromophore you will have to use a refractive index detector for sensitivity.

Please provide further details of the method that you are following.
