Agilent 6890 detector output not displaying

We have a 6890 dual GC. Both detectors appear to be working fine on the instrument itself (have a non-zero output). However, on the computer program, the signal 2 says N/A on the window where the spectrum is recorded. Signal 1 says "front detector" and I can see the detector output in real time. Any idea on how to get signal 2 (the back detector) to show up on the computer?

Also, if I try to run a sample on just the front detector, the FID file isn't being recorded. I'm guessing these problems might be related. Thanks!

Designate back detector as Signal 1.

Did you resolve your problem? What software are you using to analyze the data? (ex: Chemstation, etc,)

You need to go through the analytical method's parameters, ensuring that the injection source, signals, and data integration parameters are all set properly. Do you actually use both front and rear columns together for dual analyses?

Assuming you run Chemstation

I

In the method settings, under signal, select signal 2 as FID back

Under method settings, under signal, check window to store signal
