Hello Friends,

I am trying to use my DAD detector as a UV-VIS and want get a detailed spectra for the peak that I get.
Chemstation 3D spectral module shows a curve which is not very detailed and its hard to pin point exactly at which wavelegnth the peak and the valley is seen.

Is there a functionality in the Chemstation that I am missing to get a more detailed spectra ?

Many Thanks for your feedback.
Regards
I'm not that familiar with Chemstation since it's some years ago that I used it. But for DADs there's usually in every CDS an option to regulate the slit width. Usually it's "wide" or the like to allow for good sensitivity (and leading to poor spectral resolution). See if there's some option to decrease the slit width. This will lead to better spectral resolution, but decreases the sensitivity of the detector considerably.
Using the spectral task, you can see the full spectrum (2D) at any point. I've never found the 3D plots particularly useful at all.

Check out the isoabsorbance plot as well, that might be what you're looking for.
