Good morning,

I'm everything but an expert in GC MS but I was wondering how do I need to setup a CI mode on a Thermo Fisher GC MS using the ITQ 700?

Do I need a big tank of methane? A small lecture bottle?

I used Varian MS before and all we needed to do was to add some methanol to an ampoule in the MS. Is there such an option here? That would be easier.

Thanks a lot,

Kevin
If I recall correctly you first of all need to have the CI option for you ITQ.. And then you attach a bottle of CI gas with copper tubing to you ITQ700..

You also need to run with Ion Volumes specifically made for CI..

It should be written down somewhere in the manuals..
Kind regards
