Hello! Sorry if have already answered before but I failed to find the solution.

How make shutdown.mac to disable thermostats of RID and autosampler? Useful manual about chemstation macros would be fine too. Thanks!
Best regards,
Dmitriy A. Perlow
I guess I'm confused because we've been doing similar for two decades with Chemstation, at the completion of our sequences.

Go to Sequence Parameters, right side, about middle of window.

Under Shutdown, put check mark in the box next to Post-Sequence Command/Macro.

Choose Standby to turn all lamps, pumps, thermostats off. (You can choose Shutdown.mac but think that needs a user-written macro.)

Try that.
Thank you for the answer! Both of STANDBY and shutdown.mac disable columns thermostat but none disables autosampler or RID thermostat. And we have shutdown.mac at all our chemstation instances just out of box however I am not sure that it isn't installed by our local agilent reseller.

I am looking for an answer to the same question as dap asked for, i.e. how to automatically turn off autosampler thermostat at the end of a sequence run for an Agilent LC system? I tried to do it through either "Standby" or "shutdown.mac" but none of them worked. Thanks for any further advice!
If you don't want to create a custom macro as suggested above, you could create a "shutdown method" setting the RID, column compartment, and autosampler temperature control off, pump at 0.00 or 0.05 mL/min, etc, and add a line to the end of each sequence specifying the shutdown method with the vial location blank (for no injection). Remember to allow at least a few hours for the RID temperature to fully equilibrate after you turn it on again before running samples.

Autosampler thermostat temperature isn't saved in method :(

What version of ChemStation are you running? Autosampler temperature control can be saved in the method with B.04.03, as long as the Classic mode is not selected in Configuration Editor.

HI dap,

I have got an answer to the autosampler thermostat on my Agilent HPLC system - 1200 sries running ChemStation Rev C.01.04. Below is how I did it

On Method and Run Control page,
Select Instrument | Instrument Configuration …
Select Sampler in the Selected Modules box and click Configure …
Check the boxes of Thermostat installed and the Thermostat controlled by method
Press OK and OK buttons to save the new configuration
Restart ChemStation to activate the new configuration - Autosampler temperature control is now part of an instrumetn method.

Thanks David for your help.
Thank you!
It may be a solution because washing method is always the latest one in sequences so it would disable at least autosampler thermostat but the question about RID seems to be open.
Best regards,
