Dear all,

I have noticed that the result ID in a Empower 2 project is not consecutive, and I have talked with Waters software engineer. She said it was normal, and the reason was something related to Oracle database, and she explained with a lot of IT technical jargons, which confused me.

My questions are:

1. Have you notice this phenomenon?
2. Do you know the exact reason in simple terms?

Thanks very much in advance,

Terry
Absolutely normal

as long as empower/oracle knows how to handle this and take the right one I don't bother me with this.
these ID's are just for reference purpose, so it can be whatever number the programmers want.

any of these IDs are just unique identifiers for an entry in the database/project (like a row-# in a spreadsheet).
first come first serve, so an injection consists of one or more channels which also needs such ID, so the next inj can't be consecutive and so on.
In simplest terms, you are not the only one using up numbers.
Thanks,
DR
