Hi,

I realised this morning that the 2695 stopped running during the last injection. The mobile phases were still full and there was no 'lost prime' message appeared in the error log.

I just don't understand why the system stopped, and in fact this happened once before.

Could that be a bubble found in the pump that stopped the flow? If this is the case then there should be an error message appeared in the log.

Could this be a loss of prime that didn't show in the error log?

Many thanks for all suggestions!
Did you set a total runtime?

Depending where a bubble was you see it in the report or not. Any information from pressure monitor?

Hi Gerhard, thanks for the reply!

The total runtime is 32 minutes and according to the pressure is normal compared to the usual, however the pressure profile shows that the run stopped at 30mins... don't know how to explain that.
Take the column out of the system and flash it. To flush the detector please use a hand syringe couplet to the detector inlet. Maybe there was a particle in the system which blocked a capillary.

Hi Gerhard,

Thanks a lot for your advice! This happened a while ago and I remembered what I did was just reprimed the system and resumed the analysis... I don't know how the negligence can affect the instrument in long term, but at least now I know what to do when that happens again.

Thanks so much again!
Is it exactly stopped at 30.00, or is it something like 30.15 or so?
If it's exactly, I would search further for stop signals, lamp off events, ....
If it's more random like, you should investigate in your instrument behaviours, like blocked flow paths, ....

It stopped at 31mins, maybe the flowpath is blocked in this case? I will flush the system when there is downtime, looks like I have to do the PM very soon...

Sorry for the late reply I was a bit stuck with other problems recently. Thanks so much for all your advises!
