How to separate or run 2 Refurbs controlled by one computer?

Man, this set up is complicated and hard to explain. We have a Waters and an Agilent system run through the same computer.

The Agilent is solely controlled by ChemStation.

The Waters system has the pump controlled by MassLynx and data read by ChemStation. To accomplish this ChemStation requires the lamp of the Agilent system to be on.

Through this set up we are limited to running a single machine at a time which is inconvenient. Initially we were told that running both was as simple as buying a second XP computer as we already have two licenses of ChemStation. There is miscommunication, but from my understanding the requirement for Waters needing the connection to Agilent detector prevents this.

This is most likely a convoluted situation. I'm hoping someone may be versed well enough to understand and help us save some money by helping us not buy a overprice XP tower from the company.

Thank you very much.
This setup is a bit confusing. Could you post a bit more in detail: Which machines do you have, and what do you want to do with them? Then we might be able to help.
